Putra International Piano Competition (PIPC) aims to connect young pianists from around the world and provide a unique international platform for them to perform and showcase their music virtuosity and artistry.
The PIPC offers Piano Concerto, Piano Solo, and Piano Duo categories to 5 different age groups up to age 32. Participants in the Piano Concerto categories stand a chance to collaborate with a professional orchestra as a featured concerto soloist - which is a dream-come-true for many young pianists.
We are honoured to have Prof. Armenia Babakhanian to be our Honorary Artistic Advisor for PIPC. He was prize-winners at several of the world's most prestigious international piano competitions including the Leeds, the Van Cliburn, the Guardian Dublin, the William Kapell, the Gina Bachauer, and the World Piano Competition.
As PIPC organising team, we strive to uphold the highest standards of fairness and performance excellence. Our panel of judges this year consists of reputable pianists from different countries, and they are: Prof. Armen Babakhanian (Armenia), Mr. Ian Goh (Malaysia), Mr. Adam Gyorgy (Hungary), Prof. Julian Jacobson (UK), Dr. Loo Fung Chiat (Malaysia), and Mr. Luu Duc Anh (Vietnam).
